About Open Cabler

An Open Cabler Registration enables telecommunications workers to legally install and maintain telephone, security and fire alarm cabling in all types of customer premises. Technicians wanting to install data, coaxial or fibre optic cable, will require further training to add these endorsements to their Open Registration License.

About Fibre Jointing and Splicing

The optical fibre splicing course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to splice and terminate optical fibre cable within an optical telecommunications transmission environment.

This course is suitable for contractors performing handling, cleaning, splicing and terminating of fibre telecommunications cables installed in underground pipes, trenches and overhead systems.

Benefits to your business

By investing in this training, it not only upskills your workforce, but also offers a range of productivity benefits for employers, helping to drive efficiency and enhancing performance across the various facets of a business. Skilled workers can perform tasks more efficiently, leading to faster project completion and improved service delivery. Investing in employee development fosters loyalty and reduces turnover, as workers feel valued and see opportunities for advancement.

A well-trained workforce can differentiate a company from competitors, attracting more clients and projects. It can also reduce reliance on external consultants or contractors, saving money in the long run.
